Feeling a bit ruff? A young girl attends to a poorly pooch at a charity garden party held at a Twickenham vet's practice.

The summer fete on Saturday (August 16) raised a total of £2,127 for local animal charities Animal Rescue and Care, Hounslow Animal Welfare Society, and Guardian Angels Animal Support.

Live music, a raffle and a barbecue were among the attractions at the party, hosted by Twickenham Veterinary Surgery, in Hampton Road, Twickenham.

Visitors were also given tours of the practice at the event, organised by veterinary nurses Emily Hide and Loren Alboni.

Christabel Moseley, who owns the surgery, said: "The atmosphere was incredible and we had so much support from our clients.  The day epitomised what our surgery was all about and we all had fun.

"I'd like to thank all my staff and family for their hard work, local businesses and sponsors for the raffle prizes and all our clients for coming to support us. It was a great success and we hope to make it an annual event."
