THE 'vast majority' of Hounslow schools are expected to remain open during this Wednesday's (March 28) London-wide teacher strike

A council spokesman said most schools across the borough would be fully or partially open, with only a 'handful' likely to close.

He added that schools would keep parents updated about the situation.

The National Union of Teachers (NUT) is holding the strike in protest at proposed changes to the teacher pension scheme.
