Staff at an Uxbridge company lined up one of the weirder world records – and broke it, with relish.

Twenty-three employees of General Mills UK, including four chefs recruited out of the canteen, created the longest line of tacos ever along 50 tables placed end-to-end on a floor of the company’s HQ in Harman House, George Street.

Officials from the Guinness Book of Records were there to record the fact that the 1,567 tacos  each one touching its neighbour in order to count – had beaten the previous record of 1,457 previously held by Emory University in the US.

The stunt was to promote the company’s new Old El Paso range of tacos. As a reward, staff got to eat their record-breaker.
