A MAN who was stabbed protecting his shop from a knife wielding robber has returned home from hospital.

Harvinder Ubhi, 51, was knifed in the back during a botched robbery on Monday at around 10am.

His wife confirmed this morning (Wednesday) that he has returned home from St Mary's Hospital in Paddington, where he was recovering.

He is continuing to take time off work as he completes his recovery.

Police are still searching for an attacker who is described as white, about 20 years old, 5 foot 11, and at the time of the attack was wearing a dark coloured motorcycle helmet to cover his face, a dark jacket, jeans and trainers, and fled the scene on what is believed to be a 500cc motorcycle in the direction of Iver.
