FOR the fourth year in succession, Uxbridge is to get an ice rink in time for Christmas, and advanced tickets are now on sale.

Booking is to open on Monday November 21 with the rink opening to the public on December 2. It will stay open from 10am to 9pm every day until New Year's Day, closing only for Christmas Day.

More good news is that tickets have been frozen at last year's prices.

For adults is costs £5 off peak and £7 at peak times, children and concessions £3.50 off peak and £5.50 peak. Family tickets are £14 off peak and £20 peak.

Off peak times are Monday to Friday 10am to 3pm.

Hillingdon Council is also offering discounts for uniformed groups and schools.

Last year's ice rink was a success, attracting 11,500 skaters, selling double the amount of tickets compared to the previous year.

This year the council has introduced 'penguin stablilisers' for children on the ice, to help youngsters stay safe.

Safety rules dictate children aged four to seven must be accompanied by an adult, with a maximum of two children with one adult.

Booking can be made online at www.hillingdon.gov.uk/icerink or over the phone at 01895558347, as well as on the day sales.
