Six fire engines were called out to a fire in Lyncroft Gardens in Hounslow at 12.57pm on Tuesday (August 8).

The crews are tackling a fire on the roof of a semi-detached house in the residential area.

Crews from Heston, Feltham, Twickenham, Chiswick and Kingston responded to the call.

Part of a neighbouring property’s roof has also been damaged in the fire, London Fire Brigade has confirmed.

The fire is 'under control'

London Fire Brigade now have the rooftop fire at a semi-detached property in Hounslow ‘under control’.

The cause is still not known.

The six crews from Heston, Feltham, Twickenham, Chiswick and Kingston remain at the scene.

Two women and a man had managed to leave the property before the Fire Bridage arrived.

The entire roof has been 'destroyed'

A London Fire Brigade spokesperson has told getwestlondon that the entire roof of the semi detached property has been ‘destroyed’ in the fire.

100% of the roof has been damaged

The Brigade also confirmed that they do not currently know what may have caused the fire.

This information is likely to emerge after the fire is extinguished.

There are currently 35 firefighters tackling the rooftop fire.
