Ealing Hospital's urgent care centre will be providing a much reduced service until tomorrow morning.

A burst water pipe in theatres forced hospital officials to close the urgent care centre and theatres at around 12.30pm today.

These remained closed all afternoon until an announcement from the trust at 5pm this afternoon.

Ealing Hospital is a London North West Healthcare NHS Trust run hospital.

A spokeswoman from the trust said: "Following the flood at Ealing Hospital today, the Urgent Care Centre is now providing a significantly reduced service. Patients requiring  this service should dial NHS 111 in the first instance or dial 999 in an emergency.

"These arrangement will be reviewed tomorrow morning (Saturday 10 January) and an update provided on our website ( www.lnwh.nhs.uk ), shortly after 9.30am."
