Firefighters are tackling a fire in a set of garages in High Street, Yiewsley, next to St Matthew's Primary School.

Garages, four motor vehicles and a caravan are alight.

Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers are at the scene. There are no reports of any injuries.

Following the end of Fire Brigade Union strike action at 9am, the incident was handed over from contingency crews to London Fire Brigade crews.

The Met police helicopter assisted LFB with thermal imaging.

A section of the High Street has been closed off as emergency services worked to make the area safe.

Traffic is said to be 'manic'.

It is believed the fire is now under control.

The Brigade was called at 6.58am. The cause of the fire is unknown.
