Two people have been hit and killed by a train at Ealing Broadway.

The incident led to severe delays at Paddington station as services to and from the station were suspended.

British Transport Police were called to the scene of the incident at 6.10pm.

A spokesman said the pair died at the scene.

It is currently unclear why they were on the tracks at the time.

First Great Western, which runs services from Paddington to west London and the Thames Valley region, said two out of four lines from Paddington were working and people should expect delays.
