Two men have been rushed to hospital after one of them fell off a ladder in Brook Green.

Ambulance crews were called to a house a few doors down from Holy Trinity Church in Brook Green at 12:12pm today to reports of a fall from height.

A man in his 30s, believed to be a window cleaner, was taken as a priority to the trauma unit at St Mary's Hospital, Paddington with a back injury. He is in critical condition.

A second man in his 60s was also injured by the fall and was taken to Charing Cross Hospital with a minor head injury. It is not clear how he was injured at this point.

A spokeswoman from London Ambulance Service (LAS), said: "A single responder in a car attended along with two ambulance crews and London's Air Ambulance."

LAS also attended the scene and its doctor accompanied the man with a back injury to hospital.

Police were called to the scene by London Ambulance Service at 12:20 and cordoned off the road for around two hours as they inspected the area.

The Health and Safety Executive were also called and are now making inquiries.

No arrests have been made and police inquiries continue.
