Two 26-year-old men have denied shooting dead a father as he waited in a busy barber shop.

Jamal Smith, of Colchester,Essex, and Richard Osborne, Harlesden Road, Harlesden, are accused of gunning down Wayne Freckleton, 25, at Ike's Barbers in Acton Lane, Harlesden, on April 25.

Mr Freckleton, from the Church End Estate, was shot in the head as he waited with his cousin.

The accused appeared via video link from Belmarsh Prison at the Old Bailey last Monday,to confirm their names and plead not guilty.Judge Stephen Kramer QC ordered a trial on January 19.
