THIS MORNING presenter Holly Willoughby has met children and families at The Shooting Star Children's Hospice.

The TV presenter dropped into Shooting Star House, in The Avenue, on Monday after hosting the daily ITV1 programme with Philip Schofield.

Holly is a long standing patron of Children's Hospices UK, the national charity which supports hospices all over the country by campaigning and lobbying on their behalf. During her visit she took part in a range of activities including story-telling, painting and music therapy.

Holly, said: "Whenever I visit children's hospices, like this one, I am amazed by the positive, welcoming environment and support they provide. It is clear to see that these places are a lifeline to the families that use them. I am very proud to be a patron of Children's Hospices UK."

Brian Stewart, Shooting Star's interim Chief Executive, said: "We were thrilled to welcome Holly to Shooting Star. It was a really special day for the children, their families and staff. We know it has created a really wonderful memory for everyone."

Shooting Star's care services started in 2005 and now supports 250 families across West London and North Surrey.
