CHILDREN’S TV presenters Dick and Dom recorded their new radio show with staff and students at Cardinal Wiseman School, Greenford.

The series of short science features called ‘How Dangerous is Your School’ is due to be broadcast in five daily segments next week on BBC Radio 4Extra as part of the 4 o’Clock Show.

Richard McCourt (Dick) and Dominic Wood (Dom) were joined by Ian Butterworth, from the National Physical Laboratory, to measure how loud 150 children aged 11 and 12-years-old could scream compared to one teacher.

Pupils also wore pedometers to test whether boys or girls were more active.

Headteacher Michael Kiely said: “This visit created great excitement. There was a lot of fun but also some serious science.”

Producer of Radio 4 Extra's 4 O'Clock Show Anne McNaught added: “We had a great day at the school, Dick and Dom were on top form, as were all the pupils.”
