TV STAR Adrian Chiles stepped into the role of supply teacher at a Fulham school this week as part of a campaign to raise pupils’ aspirations.
The ITV presenter taught a year 11 English class at Fulham Cross Girl’s school on Tuesday to support the TeachFirst charity's annual Teach Week, which ran Monday to Friday.
The campaign, part of the charity’s 10th anniversary celebrations, has seen over 50 celebrities teach in schools all over the country.
Yachtswoman Dame Ellen MacArthur, football legend Gary McAllister and The Independent editor Chris Blackhurst were among others who supported the project.
Mr Chiles spoke to pupils about his upbringing and his career in an effort to inspire them.
TeachFirst founder Brett Wigdortz said: “I am thrilled at the number of guests that took part.
“It acknowledges the need for us all to play a part in eradicating educational disadvantage.”
