A DEVOTED family man who touched the hearts of many with his love of life has tragically died in a road accident.

Rob Adams, of Denmark Road, West Ealing, was on his way home from a business lunch at Wentworth Golf Club when he came off his scooter in the A30 slip road to the M25 near Egham, Surrey.

The 42-year-old leaves behind three young sons Thomas, 13, William, 10, and Hector, 5.

Emilie Lety-Adams, 43, his wife of 17 years, said: "He was a real family man, he was committed to his family.

"And he touched many, many people from all walks of life. He could connect with everyone from top directors to builders or fishermen, he was a fisherman's son."

Orginally from the Isle of Sark, in the Channel Islands, Mr Adams lived in Ealing for 11 years. He met his wife, who works as a lawyer, at Leicester university in 1989.

She added: "He was great fun to be around. He loved life and had so much to look forward to. He was a good natured, caring and lovely man."

Mr Adams was a director of two businesses which he set up about four years ago, Ablestoke Financial Services Ltd and Q & A People Matter Ltd human resources company.

Mr Adams was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, which happened at about 7pm last Saturday (24).

Collision investigators from Surrey Police are still working to establish the cause of the crash.
