Children can see the Optimus Prime truck from Transformers up close when it makes a pit stop in Whitton tomorrow (Friday, December 6).

The star of the shape-shifting children's show will be outside the Shooting Star Children's Hospice charity shop in Whitton High Street from 9.30am to 4.30pm. Youngsters will be able to sit in the truck and have their photos taken with it.

The truck's visit is in honour of a day of volunteering by employees from toy producer Hasbro, who will man the tills at that store and five others supporting Shooting Star CHASE.

They will be helping to raise money for the charity, which runs children's hospices in Hampton and Guildford.
