A traffic marshal on a moped was left in a serious condition after coming into collision with a lorry while on duty.

The 25-year-old City of Westminster traffic marshal is still in hospital with severe leg injuries after the incident at 8am on Wednesday (August 27).

Police were called to the collision in Victoria Embankment near to Westminster Bridge and the man was taken by London Ambulance Service to hospital.

The male driver of the lorry stopped at the scene and was not arrested.

Detective Sergeant Rob Hill, said: “I need to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the lorry and the moped at traffic lights on Victoria Embankment in the moments before the collision.”
