Outstanding success for many Sixth Form pupils at Uxbridge High School have helped them to secure places at top universities.

One of those, Hanad Ali Hanaf, was delighted to be able to accept an offer from Cambridge University to study Engineering.  He said upon receiving the news: "I am so grateful to all the staff who have helped me, I would not have done it without them.  I am very excited to be going to Cambridge."

Post-16 results have reached record levels for the fourth year in succession at the school. Ninety-eight per cent of students have passed their A-Level examinations with 64 per cent of passes at A*-C grades, up on last year’s 50%.

Nigel Clemens, senior vice principal, said: "This is a landmark year for the Sixth Form at Uxbridge High School.  Students have been rewarded for their hard work and dedication.  We wish them all the best of luck at their chosen universities and in the world of work.  Congratulations to students and staff alike."
