School children joined together in song as a part of a musical celebration of the formation of Cannon Lane Primary School.
Cannon Lane First School and Cannon Lane Junior School both joined to form the primary – based in Cannonbury Avenue, Pinner – in September 2013, and music leader Sue Mattick decided the best way to celebrate would be by all coming together under one banner on Friday to record a CD of their favourite songs.
Mrs Mattick said: "It is great now that we are together to have that on a CD. Music is such a great way of celebrating something like this, and we had everyone involved from reception to the Year 6 classes."
Songs recorded on the CD include "Any Dream Will Do" from Andrew Lloyd Webber's Joseph musical and Jingle Bells Rock, ensuring listeners will be in the festive spirit throughout the year.
Mrs Mattick added: "It wasn't just singing but we have instrumental music on there from the school band, and it was just lovely to see them all using their talents to take part."
The CD will be available for purchase through the school to parents and family, with all proceeds going towards new equipment.
