I READ the letter from David Seaman about building a new hospital on the RAF site in Uxbridge.

A few years ago, when plans were first being mooted about a new hospital on the site it is on now, suggestions about it being built on the RAF site were mentioned.

David McVittie said that the RAF camp would not be vacated until 2010 and that 'we' could not wait until then to redevelop the hospital.

He said that if 'we' were to go with a rebuild on the original site in Pield Heath Road, the new hospital would be nearing completion then.

As we all know, there has been no starting on the demolition and rebuilding of this site.

Surely now is the time to go all out for a completely new hospital on the RAF site, incorporating plenty of car parking areas, so then local roads would not be full of hospital-parked cars all day.
