A thug was caught doing chin-ups on a bus moments after punching a woman in the face in what police say was a racially motivated attack.

The victim was waiting for a 423 bus at Heathrow on Tuesday (March 25) at 6.15am, having just completed a night shift at the airport when a man appeared and started verbally abusing another woman at the bus stop.

When the victim, who is of Polish descent, intervened and asked him to stop he started shouting racist abuse at her.

The victim then boarded the bus but was followed onto it by the man, who continued his racist tirade before punching her in the face.

She ran off the bus but her attacker remained on board and was caught on CCTV doing chin-ups shortly after the assault, before alighting in Hounslow.

Police have released CCTV images of the attacker on the bus, including one of him doing the exercises on board.

Police want to speak to this man in connection with an assault on the 423 bus between Heathrow and Hounslow

The attacker is described as being a light skinned Asian man, with untidy stubble on his face, approx 5ft 9ins and of a medium build.
