A MINICAB driver has told of his terror as he was attacked and robbed at knifepoint earlier this morning (Thursday).
He was attacked shortly before 2am and was one of three drivers who were forced from their cars in separate incidents by the same two men.
Terry Green, 59, from Uxbridge, said: "I got called to a job in Exmouth Road in Hayes, two men got in and asked me to take them to Brunel, suddenly they told me to pull over and pulled a knife to my throat.
"They cut my face with a knife and took my money, but I wriggled out and escaped, then I hid behind a hedge as they drove off.
"I flagged down a car, and when the police came they told me the same guys had taken another cab to nearby to where I picked them up from and robbed that driver."
Hillingdon Police confirmed that three drivers were attacked that night, with Mr Green's car found burnt out in Whitehall Road, Cowley, a few streets away from where he was robbed, in The Avenue, Cowley.
Mr Green said: "I don't know what to do, I've lost my income, the car was only insured third party because it is so expensive to do it fully comprehensive.
"I was on incapacity benefits only weeks before, now I'm basically housebound.
"They got away with about £100 and I'm left with cuts and bruises."
The two other incidents took place in Goshawk Gardens, Hayes and Northwood Way, Northwood, at a bus stop opposite the alley leading to Townsend Way, with both drivers having money taken.
Police are looking for two males, one black, one white, both believed to be in their late teens, early 20s in connection with the incidents.
Superintendent Peter Withers, Head of Operations and Crime said: "These types of incidents are unusual and isolated in this borough. At this time we are linking the three incidents, it is very much an active investigation and we will be working to identify the offenders and hold them accountable for their actions.
"Minicab companies in the borough will be given the opportunity for crime prevention advice should they wish to receive it."
