Three officers based in Hounslow have been charged with ABH after an alleged assault.

Sergeant Jason Moody, 39, PC Carl Hollman, 31, and PC Ed Griffith, 39, all of whom are based in Hounslow, have been summonsed to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Thursday, August 7, charged with assault causing actual bodily harm.

All three were charged in connection with an alleged assault in Hounslow High Street on November 23 last year.

A police spokesperson said the officers had been placed on 'restricted duties' pending the outcome of the court case.

No further action has been taken with regards to criminal proceedings against a fourth officer, who is a PC based in Hounslow, but that officer is being investigated over possible misconduct.

Two more officers, who are both Hounslow PCs, are also subject to misconduct investigations relating to the allegations.

Hounslow councillor Gurpal Virdi is due in court on August 28 charged with indecently assaulting a boy in 1986 when he was a police officer.
