Thousands of bargain-hunting fashionistas descended on a Wembley warehouse on Saturday for one of the biggest clothing sales the borough has ever seen.

A long line of shoppers queued up to join in the sale as Angels - Europe's largest film and theatrical costumier - sold off about 30,000 items of surplus stock at the one-off event.

Vintage and retro fashion items from the 1930s to the present day were up for grabs, as well as a miscellany of quirkier costumes.

A number of outfits that have featured in films such as Indiana Jones and Star Wars went on sale, along with items worn in television programmes such as Dr Who, Absolutely Fabulous, Ashes to Ashes, Dad's Army and Last of the Summer Wine.
