Three arrests have been made by police following a serious assault in Uxbridge town centre.

Detectives are investigating the assault which happened near to Uxbridge station on Thursday, October 16, which left a 55-year-old man seriously injured.

London Ambulance Service was called to Windsor Street, opposite the station, at around 9.40pm.

It sent a duty officer, an ambulance crew, a single responder in a car and London's Air Ambulance crew by car to the road to treat the man for a head injury.

He was rushed to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

A section of Windsor Street was cordoned off by police until Friday morning .

On Friday, October 17, police arrested a 48-year-old man and a 29-year-old man on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm.

They have been released on bail and will return to a west London police station in early November.

A third man, aged 55, was arrested on Sunday, October 19 and taken to a west London police station where he remains in custody pending further investigation.

Enquiries are continuing and police are still appealing to the public for help.
