It is all anyone can talk about, haven't you heard? It is set to be hotter than Ibiza in some areas of the UK this weekend so there is simply no excuse for not getting out there and enjoying some of the events going on in Hillingdon.

Tonight (Friday) after enjoying a well-earned pint in one of the many beer gardens across the borough, why not head down to the Comedy Bunker at Ruislip Golf Centre in Ickenham Road, West Ruislip where you can spot not one, but three top comedians. None other than comedian and impressionist Bobby Davro is making his Comedy Bunker debut alongside Romesh Ranganathan and Tom Allen. Doors open at 8pm and tickets cost £12.

For ladies looking to be pampered join in with the fun just down the road at The Conservative Club, where from 7.30pm a glass of fizz and a selection of treatments, including reflexology, tarot card readings, and manicures will be on offer. The night has been organised by RAF Northolt military wives and serving officer Michael Rowlands and the £5 entry fee goes towards Mr Rowlands' marathon fund for the Royal Air Force Association.

If you are heading down to The WatersEdge in Packet Boat Lane, Cowley, join in with a disco fundraiser at 7.30pm and help raise some cash for Moorcroft School. Donate to take part in a disco, karaoke, raffle and a tombola to buy disabled children at the school a Smart Box, which they can control using their eyes.

Or join the stargazers at Ruislip Lido with the West of London Astronomical society, during their three day event to find Jupiter and its moons through telescopes at the nature reserve in Reservoir Road.

On Saturday to celebrate International Women's Day new charity Mother's Connect, set up by pastor Benedicta Olagunju of the Focus International Christian Centre in Uxbridge Road, Hillingdon, is holding its second open morning. From 9-11am at Focus House, mothers facing challenges with parenting have the opportunity to ask questions and share advice to others who have gone through similiar things.

Last week, Harrow Women's centre was saved from closure thanks to a lottery grant.           

The French market is sticking around in Uxbridge until Saturday so pick up your fresh baguettes and brie in the High Street while you can.

If you fancy taking a walk around the borough to enjoy the sunshine - the Hillingdon Council website has many planned routes for you to choose from, or join in with the Hillingdon Ramblers who run occasional morning walks on a Sunday of five to six miles, or an all-day walk of 10 to 15 miles. On Sunday from 1pm - 3pm, the Traffic Free Cycling Club have organised a bike ride which starts at West Drayton Train Station off of Station Approach. The ride will take you along the Celandine Route to Ickenham where you will meet with the Bikewise Cycle Shop group for a ride to Langley Park in Iver, Buckinghamshire.
