I AM writing to thank all those who have expressed sadness that we have lost Solveig [Solveig loses cancer fight,Gazette,July 30] - those who have written to me about how she went beyond her ordinary duty as a councillor to get something done - and those who came to her standing-room-only funeral to show that she touched the hearts of many.
I hope to organise a public meeting later this year at which Solveig's 'small-p' political concerns (a tangled mix of the national and the local) can be talked about both formally and informally.
