SUPERMARKET giant Tesco has says it has no knowledge of an alleged sewage stench in its Dukes Green store in Feltham.

The Chronicle was contacted by customer Dave Biddle who reported a smell of waste in the entrance of the shop.

Mr Biddle said: "We walked into our local Tesco at Dukes Green last week and immediately smelt sewage in the entrance. We quickly did our shopping and left.

"On Monday we expected the problem to have been dealt with but it was still offensive. On December 8 we entered the store and it still smelt bad. We would like the store closed until the problem is dealt with."

When contacted, a spokesman for Tesco said: "There is no problem on site that we are aware of. We have had no other complaints about this, obviously it something we will continue to monitor."
