Schools have been granted permission to keep using temporary structures as classrooms.

Harrow Council last week granted permission for Canons High School in Shaldon Road, Edgware, to use a mobile cabin as two classrooms for another three years.

Bentley Wood High School, in Binyon Crescent, Stanmore, was also granted permission to keep on using three temporary classrooms for another two years.

The school said it needed the space while the post-16 extension to the permanent buildings was completed.

These are scheduled for completion this December.

Nower Hill High School was also given permission for a twostorey extension at the meeting last Thursday.
