A 15-YEAR-OLD Asian girl has died after falling from the roof of a town centre shopping complex in Harrow.

The victim landed in front of shocked motorists queuing at traffic lights in Greenhill Way moments after being spotted at the top of the car park of St George's Shopping Centre in St Ann's Road.

The fall happened at 4pm and paramedics battled for the three quarters of an hour to save the victim but she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Eyewitness Sophia Theodorou, 28, who works at Memory Lane Hair opposite the scene, said: "I looked up and saw this girl falling and landing on the floor. I dropped everything and ran over there.

"There was blood coming out of her head. Two boys checked her pulse and they said she wasn't breathing so I ran into St George's to get the security guards.

"To me, she looked 22 or 23 years old. She wasn't wearing any shoes.

"I was hysterical because that's the first time I have some across anything like that."

A spokeswoman for London Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 4.05pm to reports of a fall from height on Greenhill Way. We sent two fast response cars, two ambulance crews, a duty manager and the air ambulance.

"Staff made extensive efforts to resuscitate the patient. A teenage girl was sadly pronounced dead by the ambulance staff."

A Harrow Police spokesman said: “Police were called just after 4pm on April 7 to reports of a female having fallen from the top floor of a car park in Greenhill Way, Harrow.

“Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended and the female, believed to be aged 15, was pronounced dead at the scene.

“Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing, but death is being treated as non-suspicious at this time.

“The coroner has been informed and a post-mortem examination and inquest will be arranged in due course.”
