A TEENAGER is in custody after admitting to stabbing a schoolboy in the leg in Hammersmith.
The 16-year-old boy admitted assault, causing grievous bodily harm, when he appeared at Hammersmith Youth Court on Friday last week.
The attack was in King Street, Hammersmith, two days earlier, on Wednesday, May 15. He has been remanded in custody and his case adjourned to June 5.
The 15-year-old victim was stabbed in the leg at 4:30pm in an alley next to Sam's Chicken shop.
A spokeswoman for London Ambulance Service said the schoolboy was taken to hospital but his injuries were not life-threatening.
Gosia Zajac, who works in the Polish Deli, across the street, said: “Young people were involved in a similar incident in the exact same spot last year. If it happens in Hammersmith, it usually happens here.”
