A teenage girl has been left with facial injuries after an assault in broad daylight in Hammersmith.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the altercation at around 1.30pm on Sunday, December 7 on Blacks Road.

The victim’s mother was attempting to park her car on Blacks Road, when an issue arose with two women who were in another vehicle.

During the ensuing argument, the 14-year-old daughter was hit in the face by one of the suspects. She was taken to a central London hospital with a suspected fractured cheekbone.

Detectives from Hammersmith and Fulham launched an investigation and were able to trace the two women.

A 35-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of failing to stop following a collision and assault. A 42-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assault.

They were both taken to a West London police station and were subsequently bailed until a date in late January 2015 pending further enquiries.
