A drunk teenager who smashed a stranger over the head with a bag of bottles was angry after his mother had sex in front of him, a court heard.
Richard Headech, 18, of Overbrook Walk, Edgware, was sentenced to three years and four months in a young offenders institute at Harrow Crown Court on Monday (02).
Headech hospitalised a 25-year-old stranger when he attacked him outside Pricecutter, in Whitchurch Lane, Edgware, just after midnight on December 23 last year.
Dee Connelly, prosecuting, said Headech's victim had suffered gashes to his forehead and cheek after he was hit once with a two litre bottle of pop, then again with a carrier bag containing bottles of beer.
The bleeding man fled into the shop, where staff offered him assistance, and he was taken to Northwick Park Hospital for treatment.
Ian Deer, defending, said Headech had been suffering from abuse at home and his mother was bringing home dozens of men.
The court heard how on one occasion Headech's mother had sex in front of him with a man who was younger than him.
Headech pleaded guilty to GBH with intent and was sentenced by Judge Mole QC.
