A teenager was stabbed in broad daylight in Notting Hill just a road away from where a grandfather was brutally murdered two weeks ago.

The boy, reported to be 17-years-old, was stabbed in Tavistock Road just after 6pm on Sunday (September 14).

London Ambulance Service were called at 6.21pm and a spokesman said: “We sent an ambulance crew, a duty officer and an advanced paramedic to the scene.

“We treated a boy reported to be 17-years-old. He was taken to hospital as a priority.”

The attack comes just two weeks after grandfather Tony Charlery, 59, of Earls Court Road, Kensington, was stabbed in the neck and died after leaving Mau Mau bar in Portobello Road near the junction of Tavistock Road.

John Tayo Wesley, of no fixed abode, has been charged with killing the family man , and will appear at the Old Bailey at a later date.
