A teenager has been arrested in Hounslow on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was stabbed and was set upon by a pitbull-style dog.

The 16-year-old boy was arrested yesterday (Thursday, November 6) in connection with the assault in Slough earlier that afternoon. He remained in custody this morning.

Thames Valley Police said a 19-year-old had been approached by three young men with a brown pitbull-style dog in Odencroft Road, Slough, at about 4.20pm.

The victim was bitten by the dog and stabbed in the leg and back. He was airlifted to hospital where he remains today in a serious condition.

The incident remains under investigation and anyone with information is asked to call the non-emergency police number 101 or Crimestoppers, free and anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
