FRIENDS and three generations of relatives came together to celebrate a special lady's 100th birthday.
Sybil Williams, who has been living at Kent Lodge care home, Pitshanger Lane, since 2006, was too excited to sleep the night before her big day.
She received a telegram from the Queen on Wednesday and was then joined by staff, grandchildren and friends for a day of entertainment and celebration.
The Mayor of Ealing, Councillor Barbara Yerolemou, wished Sybil a happy 100th birthday and Mrs Williams's granddaughter sang to the audience.
Marie O'Donoghue, a senior support worker at Kent Lodge, said: "Sybil had a wonderful day and did not go for her usual daily nap because she was too excited.
"She had a lovely time and we all had fun. Sybil was a singer and it was a treat for her when her granddaughter started singing in front of everyone."
Sybil claims the secret to her long life is drinking lots of tea.
