A DRUG dealer has been sent to prison after police found cannabis hidden in a fizzy drink bottle.

Tanvir Singh Osahan, 26, of Kenton Road, Harrow, admitted possession with intent to supply drugs at Harrow Crown Court yesterday.

He was sentenced to 12 months in prison and had £1,700 in cash confiscated.

On Thursday April 10 plain clothes officers stopped and searched a group of men in the Rushout Avenue and Kenton Road areas of Wembley after receiving complaints of drug dealing from members of the public.

Osahan was holding a soft drink bottle which had been modified to house a concealed area in the middle and contained nine wraps of cannabis.

He was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply cannabis and during a search of his home officers found a further three fake bottles, made from various types of containers.

In total, 27 wraps of cannabis were recovered and a large quantity of cash, which had been hidden under a bed, was seized.

While in custody, investigating officer’s were able to examine Osahan’s mobile phone which revealed further evidence of drug supplying in the Kingsbury area.

Investigating officer DC Paul Connelly of Brent Police said: “ I am pleased with the result at court today. Osahan thought he had the perfect hiding place for his drugs, but when he was stopped and searched it became very clear to us that there was something not quite right with the bottle. Let this be a lesson to other drug dealers, that however and wherever you try conceal your drugs we are on to you and we will take all steps necessary to seize your money and assets obtained through crime.”
