A SUPERMARKET is counting the cost of repairs after a driver crashed into the front wall of one of its petrol station shops.
The accident happened last Friday at Tesco Extra in Glencoe Road, Yeading, at about 2.20pm.
The car hit the front wall, causing the windows to be pushed inwards and shelves full of sweets to be knocked down in the shop.
The London Ambulance Service sent an ambulance and duty officers to check on the driver but no one required any hospital treatment as a result.
Kerry Foster, who witnessed the aftermath, said: "It looked as if someone had tried to ram-raid the place."
A Tesco spokesman said: "There wasn't a safety issue with any of the pumps resulting from this, just some superficial damage."
