Residents looking to find out about the help and support available for drug and alcohol addiction in Hounslow can attend one of a series of events starting next Monday.

Staff from the organisations involved in tackling alcohol and drug addiction, including Hounslow Council, Hounslow Primary Care Trust, Hounslow Drug and Alcohol Action Team and others,will be on hand to talk at the events which are being organised to coincide with National Tackling Drugs Week.

The TASHA bus will visit Hounslow Civic Centre, 10am-3pm, on May19, and a stall will be outside Holy Trinity Church, in Hounslow town centre, on May23, from 11am-3pm. Both will offer advice and information.

Other initiatives taking place in Hounslow include visits by drug support workers and police to Chiswick and Isleworth estates where drug abuse and related criminal activity is an issue.There will also be a visit to a Chiswick school where drug support staff will explain to pupils the harm caused by drug addiction.
