A man found with stab wounds on the floor of a Sudbury shop after a fight broke out remains in a serious but stable condition in hospital.

Brent Police officers were called out to Harrow Road at just before 1.30am and discovered the victim inside a store.

Officers gave first aid to the man - believed to be in his 30s - until paramedics arrived.

The man was taken to a west London hospital by the ambulance where his condition is described as serious but stable.

Detectives from Brent CID are investigating and are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen a fight or the suspect described as a 25- to 30-year-old black man wearing a blue hooded top, black trousers and black shoes.

There have been no arrests and detectives' enquiries continue.
