Police are appealing for witnesses of the crash which left two pensioners dead in Sudbury Hill, Harrow.
Alice Cullen, 72, and Helen Brady, 70, were killed when a blue Renault Clio mounted the pavement at the Junction with Greenford Road, and collided with them, just before 2.30pm yesterday.
Post mortems took place at Northwick Park Hospital today.
The driver of the car, believed to be diabetic, named locally as Enid Mills, of Abbey Close, Pinner Green, in her 70s, was airlifted to a London Hospital where her condition is described as stable.
