Stockley Academy is celebrating their A-Level results.

Overall, 44 per cent of grades were A* to B and 64 per cent were A* to C.

A number of students attained exceptional individual results.

Connor Murray (pictured below) achieved an A*and two As for maths, chemistry and physics.

He is going on to study chemical engineering at University College of London.

James Davies, head boy at the academy in Park View Road, achieved an A* in maths and an A in history.

He is planning to take gap year before applying for drama school.

Deputy head girl, Paige Herbert achieved an A in Business Studies, B in English and a Distinction in Performing Arts.

Paige wants to embark on a career in retail marketing and said she is very much looking forward to studying marketing at the University of Sussex.

Tiffany Allen achieved double distinctions in BTEC Health and Social care and will study Primary Education.

Keivan Samani (pictured below) got equally impressive results.

"Despite being the most challenging two years of my life, it was well worth it and to see the satisfaction on my parents' faces was just immense."

He will go on to read physics at Bristol University.

Ms Feehan, head of sixth form, said: "I am delighted that so many of our students have done so well and wish them well as they take up their places at university, employment, or begin their gap year."

Principal Ian Storey said: "This is a fantastic achievement we have recorded our highest set of results ever.

"I would like to congratulate all of our students but also the staff for their support in helping them achieve these results.

"These results will enable our students to go onto study at the universities of their choice and pursue their chosen careers."
