CHILDREN from Pinner dressed up in red, white and blue on Friday.

Youngsters from West Lodge Primary School in West End Lane, went all out as they were joined by magicians, jugglers and balloon makers in a carnival-like atmosphere.

Children enjoyed a huge picnic on the school’s playing field and year five’s steel pan band performed a concert.

The school’s event manager Sharon Dines said: “For such a momentous occasion, it was certainly a day for the children to remember.”

The day marked the end of a week of jubilee themed activities with the highlight being a local drama group’s depiction of the life of Queen Elizabeth II, from princess to monarch.
