A BAND of Irish dancers from Hayes shot to instant fame on Saturday night when they appeared on Britain's Got Talent alongside Stavros Flatley.

The O'Sullivan School of Irish Dancing usually practise at Hayes Conservative Club, in Church Road, Hayes, and now they have been seen by millions live on prime time television.

Niamh Ivey, a volunteer who helps the troupe out, said: "It was amazing. We received a call from a lady called Janet of Massive Creations Choreography Company two weeks ago and they said if Stavros Flatley got through to the final of Britains Got Talent they needed 10 Irish Dancers to do the Lord of the Dance line up behind them.

"The Choreographer was blown away with the girls performance and so was Stavros Flatley, Demetrius and Lagi.

"She said they were so polished and professional just what they were looking for. The are just the nicest people we have ever met and were so kind to our girls."
