A man from Kensington is onto a winner after being picked to appear in a TV advert for a bingo site.
Lee Weswick is set to experience a taste of stardom after being shortlisted from hundreds of Tombola players from around the country to make it through to the advert.
The 33-year-old has been a member of Tombola for over two years, and says that appearing in the TV advert has given him a much-needed confidence boost after taking a couple of years off from his existing TV and theatre career.
Hopeful Tombola players entered online to take part in the TV ads, and Lee attended the audition and was one of 25 successful chosen players.
He said: “I once appeared in The Bill and various other TV commercials, however I have taken time off from acting over the past few years. When I saw that tombola were using real-life players for their new TV advert, I realised I had to apply in an attempt to re-build my confidence and career.
“When I was selected I was truly overwhelmed – I had a smile on my face from taking the phone call, right up until the end of the wrap party. When I told my parents and my friends that I was going to be appearing back on the TV they were all really pleased for me. We are counting down the days until the commercial airs!”
The advert aired in August.
