Households are set to go without their postal service once more as workers go on strike again, citing 'intolerable' working conditions.

On Wednesday last week,  workers at Stanmore delivery office, based at the Honeypot Business Centre in Parr Road, Stanmore, went on strike over a long-running dispute with Royal Mail concerning what they allege to be the mistreatment of staff.

The Communication Workers Union (CWU) has announced another strike, commencing tomorrow (Friday) and ending on Saturday evening.

Ian Murphy, CWU branch secretary for Harrow, said the action is the culmination of over two years of difficulties in the Stanmore office.

A Royal Mail spokeswoman said: "Royal Mail is fully committed to the process of trying to resolve concerns of postal workers based in Stanmore.”
