Sport in Hillingdon is being given a boost.

Hillingdon Council has set up a new fund to encourage more people to get involved in sport and physical activity and there is £400,000 available.

A total of £150,000 will go to schools to improve their physical education provision, £100,000 for clubs and community groups, £100,000 for dance or other exercise and £50,000 for events and contingencies.

Groups can apply in any one of three funding rounds.

They do not need to be sports clubs but must be properly constituted local organisations for community benefit.
