A Stanmore restaurant has been granted an extension to its licence after a Harrow Council meeting yesterday (Tuesday).

The Spice Rack Lounge, in Church Road, will now be able to sell alcohol to customers after 11pm with or without a meal. The bar can now also sell alcohol on Christmas day and after 10.30pm on Good Friday.

The venue will also be able to provide live music and dancing on the premises.

Councillors agreed to the change in licence with an additional condition that steps should be taken to insure that people leave and enter the restaurant with the minimal disruption to local residents.

The Spice Rack Lounge will now face a council meeting in July to determine whether they can change conditions on their planning licence.
