A SPECIAL constable is on bail awaiting a court appearance to answer charges of indecent assault on young girls and making indecent images of children.

Kevin McLean, 29, a former member of MPS police staff based at Ealing, is a serving Special Constable who patrols Heathrow Airport.

He has been charged with 22 offences following an operation by the Directorate of Professional Standards Anti Corruption Team.

The charges are:

One count of misconduct in a public office in relation to misuse of the MPS CRIMINT system.

Four counts of making indecent images of children over 13 (Level 1)

A further count of making indecent images of children over 13 (Level 2)

Four counts of making indecent images of children over 13 (Level 3)

Two counts of making indecent images of children under 13 (Level 1)

Ten counts of indecent assault of girls under 16.

He will appear on bail at City of Westminster Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
