All Southern Rail services through west London between Clapham Junction and Milton Keynes were suspended on Friday afternoon (October 27) after a person was hit by a train.

National Rail disruptions

National Rail said the disruptions on their lines are expected until 4pm.

Tickets accepted on London Underground

A spokesman for Southern Rail confirmed tickets will be accepted on London Underground services.

He also urged passengers to allow for an “extended journey time of up to 90 minutes” if you are travelling via an alternative route.

West London stations affected

The stations affected in our patch are:

West Brompton

Kensington (Olympia)

Shepherd’s Bush

Wembley Central

Harrow & Wealdstone

Alternatives announced by Southern Rail

“We will be unable to run any West London line services in either direction between East Croydon and Milton Keynes Central until further notice,” Southern Rail said.

London Overground are accepting Southern tickets between Watford Junction and Clapham Junction.
London Midland are accepting Southern tickets between Milton Keynes Central and Euston however their services are also severely disrupted by this incident.
London Underground between London Victoria and London Euston and between Balham and Wembley Central.
Thameslink between Bedford and St Pancras.
This incident affects Southern, London Midland and Virgin Trains.

Disruption expected until 7pm, Southern Rail says

Due to a person being hit by a train between Watford Junction and Milton Keynes Central all lines are blocked.

Train services running through these stations may be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 mins or suspended between Clapham Junction and Milton Keynes Central.

Disruption is expected until 19:00 27/10.

Emergency services attending incident

Emergency services are attending the incident and the lines are closed to allow them to deal with the incident, Southern Rail said.
